The Supreme Court announced late yesterday that it has granted certification to review Mortgage Grader, Inc. v. Ward & Olivo, LLP, 438 N.J. Super. 202 (App. Div. 2014). The decision of the Appellate Division that will be reviewed is discussed here. The question presented, as phrased by the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office, is “Does a partner in a law firm practicing as a limited liability partnership lose liablility protection if the partnership fails to maintain professional liability insurance, as required by Rule 1:21-1C(a)(3)?”
