Today, the Senate voted to grant tenure to Chief Justice Rabner and to confirm Judge Solomon as an Associate Justice. This was as expected. The vote on Chief Justice Rabner was 29-6. Senators voted 36-2 to make Judge Solomon Justice Solomon.
These are two excellent jurists who will serve (or, in the Chief Justice’s case, continue to serve) the Supreme Court well, and enable the Court to maintain its reputation as one of the best State Supreme Courts in the nation. Congratulations, and welcome, to them both.
