The title of this post is the title of an e-mail that went to members of the Morris County Bar Association to announce a seminar on appellate practice that will be held on September 16, 2013 at the Westin Governor Morris, 2 Whippany Road, Morristown. Subjects to be covered include building the trial level record for appeal, interlocutory appeals, when and what to appeal once a judgment is final, motion practice, briefing, and oral argument, in both the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court.
The program runs from 7-9 P.M. and will be preceded by dinner, which begins at 6 P.M. Attendees will earn two CLE credits. The cost is $89 for members of the Morris County Bar Association and $109 for non-members. Both prices include the dinner. Anyone interested in attending can register by e-mail to sjohnson@morriscountybar.com, by fax to (973) 605-8325, or by mail to the Morris County Bar Association, 245 South Street, Unit 1, Morristown, NJ 07960.
I am very pleased to be part of this program, with such a distinguished group of appellate jurists. It will be a treat for everyone to listen to them. This is unquestionably the “CLE event of the season,” so make your reservations early.
